Tales From Hollywood

My Tales from Hollywood are also posted at ashleighraine.com . The only difference between the ones there and the ones here is that I’ve separated them by category. Plus, here, now and then I talk about the industry itself or reflect on things that have happened, places I’ve been, what it means when an AD says, "I think you girls are cool enough and I don’t know how else to say this, but, could you ho it up a little more?" (That was a helluva night on the set of Havoc during the great LA fires of 2003.)

Yes, I share these mysteries and more here at my site. Hell, my other favorite is, "Okay, you guys are aliens. You eat collagen. Dr. Norbert in there is covered in collagen. So, walk toward him really creepy like you’re gonna eat him." (Yes, I was an alien in a bad sci-fi B movie…and didn’t know it until I got to the set. You guessed it, They Are Among Us .)

I’ve technically worked in the entertainment industry since my first year in college: 1992. I discovered live theatre…and that audiences make me somewhat nervous. I majored in Theatre Design and Technology, so I find it kind of funny that I now do more acting than I do tech stuff. Oh well. It’s all good, plus I get screen time now and then. It’s like a little souvenir…especially for someone as shy as I am.
