About Me
That little paragraph in my sidebar isn’t lying. And that barely covers half of it all. I can be a one-woman show sometimes. Hell, back in my theatre days, I did everything except costume, make-up and acting. Now, the only thing I don’t do is make-up…I just don’t like the stuff, I guess.
Believe it or not, I’m actually a pretty shy person. At parties, I’m generally a wallflower, but I wear loud clothes, encouraging people to talk to me because I’m practically terrified to start conversations myself. I suppose it all evens out in the end.
This site is where I’ll post what I can about my life including novels published, cars worked on and probably even clothing and antique dolls built or repaired. I honestly don’t know everything I’m going to post about yet. I mean, I’m the kind of person who one day I’m a dead nun and then next I’m dancing the Cancan. I rarely know what my life will hold before it happens, so there’s really no way to know what the contents of this site will be. I just wanna try and capture a little of my life and share it with you. Always feel free to comment, too. I want to hear from you.
Since I write as half of the Ashleigh Raine writing team and we have a series called Hollywood Heat, I post many of my Hollywood adventures on that site as well as here. The only difference is that there’s a few other odd experiences or musings here. Use the categories in the sidebar to navigate. There’s a ton of them, but I don’t know how else to organize my posts since I’m in to so many different things.
Yes, Blue Root is free… I wrote it in 2004 from a silly idea that came about during a conversation with my husband about romance novels, erotic romance novels, science fiction, technology and strange words. He didn’t know I’d get a full length novel out of it. I didn’t know it’d be impossible to sell because no one buys a humorous, erotic, sci-fi romance from a first time author. That combo proved to be a kiss of death. I was going to just let it collect dust like another of my unpublished novels, but I still think the darn book isn’t half bad, so I serialized it as blog posts at BlueRoot.net.
